It should hardly come as any surprise that Putin controls what happens in Soviet agencies. The Litvinenko murder is no exception to that rule, as we can now read in a recently released report. It is quite thought provoking to consider the implications of the FSB targetting people in other nations, just because Soviet interests are challenged.
This should not be accepted, and we need serious talks with Russian President Putin to clarify what we can expect in the future in relation to political happenings and debates and criticism of the status quo of Russian democracy.
It will be interesting to see what happens next.
